Travel assignment in Saint Louis, MO starting 09/08/2026 for 13 weeks on a 3x12 Night shift.
About the Role
Work in a Medical-Oncology unit (CHNE 4) on an acute-care hospital floor. The unit has 28 rooms, including two Comfort Care Suites, and serves adult medical, surgical, and oncology patients with telemetry monitoring. EPIC charting is required. Orientation is 38 hours. Night-shift nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5–6. Weekend coverage is required (two weekends every other weekend, rotation may include Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun). Floating within scope/service line is required; on-call is not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical, surgical, and oncology patients on the Med-Surg Tele unit
- Administer medications, including basic chemotherapy administration/monitoring, IV therapies, and management of ports as appropriate
- Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias; respond to changes in patient condition
- Initiate and document care in EPIC; coordinate with the interdisciplinary team and unit secretary
- Utilize isolation precautions and PPE, support rapid response/code events as part of the code team
- Support patient and family education, mobility, and discharge planning within a busy med-surg oncology setting
Requirements
- Valid RN license in Missouri (state-approved) or eligibility; pending license accepted for submission
- BLS (BCLS), NIHSS, and Fire Safety Training required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travel nurses accepted
- Oncology/telemetry and IV access/port management experience preferred
- Ability to float within Med-Surg/Oncology scope as needed
Pay
Earn $2,071–$2,256 per week with 36 guaranteed hours.
