Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job

Travel temporary assignment starting on 09/14/2026 for several weeks in Potsdam, NY.

About the role

This position is in a hospital PCU/MedSurg Tele unit designated as a Certified Stroke Center. The role requires EPIC charting and includes a 16-hour orientation. The unit provides interdisciplinary support from PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage dysrhythmias; provide post-MI and acute cardiac care as appropriate
• Deliver care for diverse patient populations including cardiac, respiratory, infectious diseases (e.g., COVID), pre/post-op, endocrine, and CVA
• Initiate and manage IV therapy, PICC/peripheral lines, blood products, and heparin/insulin protocols
• Utilize non-invasive airway support (HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP) and assist with airway management as needed
• Perform chest tube and tracheostomy care; wound care including Wound VAC; PCA administration
• Participate in seizure management, isolation precautions, and stroke protocol adherence
• Willingness to float to sister units West 2, West 3, and Observation

Requirements

• NY RN license in good standing (must be in hand to submit)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; PCU/tele or med-surg experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced PCU/Tele/Med-Surg environment

Pay

Weekly pay ranges from $2,832 to $2,966, with zero guaranteed hours.

Schedule

4x12 Nights shift.
