A registered nurse position is available for a telemedicine unit at a Critical Access Hospital in Colby, KS, starting August 3, 2026. The assignment is a 36-hour-per-week commitment with a night shift schedule that includes occasional day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults in a medical-surgical telemetry setting
- Maintain and monitor vital signs
- Administer medications and support routine procedures
- Telemetry monitoring with timely escalation of abnormal findings
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
- Promote patient safety, infection control, and patient education
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Med-Surg Tele or inpatient telemetry experience preferred
- Ability to work nights with occasional day shifts and adapt to a 24/7 hospital schedule
- Proficiency with electronic health records and strong communication skills
