Travel Registered Nurse LTC Job

Key Highlights

• Weekly pay: $1,891–$1,941 per week
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 3x12 hours
• Start date: 08/03/2026
• Location: Lewiston, ME, United States
• Orientation: Up to 16 hours unpaid
• Residency requirement: Candidate must reside outside of a 50-mile radius

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents across dementia, rehabilitation, and long-term care units; administer medications per plan of care; monitor and document patient status.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to implement individualized care plans, conduct geriatric assessments, and manage IV therapy and wound care as appropriate.
• Apply verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to support residents with Alzheimer's/dementia; recognize and respond to challenging behaviors with appropriate de-escalation strategies.
• Support short-term rehabilitation needs and recovery planning, including safety, mobility, and daily living activities; assist with discharge planning and transitions of care.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and accurate documentation; participate in unit coverage and be flexible to float to other units as needed.

Requirements

• Education: Associate degree in nursing.
• Licensure: Current State of Maine RN license or compact RN license.
• Experience: 1–3 years of RN experience preferred.
• Other requirements: Ability to work in a 24/7 environment; strong teamwork and communication skills; flexibility to float to other units as needed; reside outside of a 50-mile radius from the assignment location.
• Note: Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered.
