Travel Registered Nurse – ICU assignment in Batavia, NY. Start date: August 24, 2026. Duration: several weeks.

About the role

This travel assignment supports a hospital-level ICU unit with a mixed critical care population, including ventilated patients and post-op care. EPIC charting experience is required, and license timing matters for submission.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care to a mixed ICU population, including ventilated patients and post-op cases
  • Monitor and interpret patient status; titrate vasoactive infusions; manage arterial and central lines as appropriate; assist with invasive procedures (A-lines, central lines, intubations, chest tubes, open abdomen care)
  • Collaborate with IV team, RT, PT, pharmacy, rapid response, social services, and radiology to coordinate care
  • Maintain accurate EPIC documentation, including medication administration, assessments, and care plans
  • Respond to rapid response events and Code Blue alerts; ensure patient safety and adherence to unit protocols
  • Provide patient and family education regarding care plans, treatments, and discharge considerations

Requirements

  • Current New York RN license in hand at time of submittal
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
  • Minimum 2 years ICU experience; patient ratio experience expected: 1:3
  • Travel experience is required
  • EPIC charting experience is required
  • Ability to float to medical/surgical units as needed
  • High-acuity ICU experience with ventilator management and vasoactive drips

Pay

Weekly pay: $1,878–$1,969 per week. Guaranteed hours: none.

Schedule

Shift: 3x12-hour days.
