Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Springfield, MA.
About the Role
This is a 13-week hospital travel assignment with cross-unit coverage, including medical-telemetry (med-tele) and intermediate care (IMC) units. The role involves providing direct bedside nursing care to adults, including patients on trachs, vents, and noninvasive respiratory support.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to adults on medical-tele and intermediate care units.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, manage IV lines and devices, and respond to emergencies with rapid assessment and escalation.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, document in the medical record, and participate in care planning and rounding.
- Perform routine assessments, monitor telemetry, and assist with complex care needs such as cardiac drips and BiPAP.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort.
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and adherence to infection control and clinical protocols.
- Float to other units (med-tele and IMC) as needed.
Requirements
- Massachusetts Placement Agency License and Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License required.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- 1–2 years of ICU/med-tele/IMC experience preferred.
- Experience with trachs, vents, high-flow nasal cannula, cardiac drips, BiPAP, and telemetry.
- Must be located outside a 90-mile radius from the facility.
Pay
Weekly pay: $2,366–$2,445.
Schedule
- Shift: 3x12 Nights.
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
- Start date: 09/07/2026.
- Contract duration: 13 weeks.
