Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Overview
Registered Nurse – ICU travel assignment in Fortuna, CA. Start date: August 10, 2026. Duration: several weeks. Weekly pay: $1,841–$1,898 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Setting: small acute care unit within a hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult and geriatric ICU patients in a small acute care unit
- Maintain ventilators, airway suctioning, and ETT/NT equipment
- Titrating vasoactive and cardiac/analgesic sedative drips; monitor hemodynamics
- Manage central lines, PICCs, arterial lines; interpret ABG results
- Administer blood products; initiate and maintain IV access; perform phlebotomy
- Collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Interpretation services, Radiology, and Pharmacy; document in Epic
Requirements
- Current California RN license (active) with eligibility; compliance notes indicate pending license accepted
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 1 year RN ICU experience; travel experience not required
- Proficiency in ventilator management, vasoactive infusions, arterial line care, and ABG interpretation
- Epic charting experience
- Ability to work 3x12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as required; RTO no more than 7 days and must be included at submission; 2 references covering 1 year within last 3 years required
About the Role
This assignment may include call for low census and potential float to sister facilities. Orientation is 12 hours.
