Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients, including ongoing assessment of clinical status and response to interventions
  • Monitor hemodynamics, tubes and lines, medications, and ventilator support as clinically indicated
  • Recognize and respond to acute changes in patient condition; activate rapid response or code protocols as needed
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement orders, adjust care plans, and document patient progress in the electronic medical record
  • Communicate clearly with patients and families; ensure patient safety, privacy, and dignity across adult and geriatric populations on the unit

Requirements

  • Active NYS registered professional nurse license
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certified through the RQI system during clinical orientation
  • NIHSS certification required
  • CPI certification within 90 days of hire
  • Demonstrated ability to provide age-appropriate care and to work effectively in a fast-paced ICU environment; strong teamwork and communication skills; basic computer literacy
  • Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.)

This is a travel - temporary assignment at a Short Term Acute Care Hospital with an ICU unit in Geneva, NY. The position offers a weekly pay rate of $1,974–$2,023 per week for a contract duration of 27 weeks, with a guaranteed hours of 0.0 per week.

Qualifications

Active NYS registered professional nurse license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certified through the RQI system during clinical orientation, NIHSS certification required, CPI certification within 90 days of hire, Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire, Demonstrated ability to provide age-appropriate care and to work effectively in a fast-paced ICU environment; strong teamwork and communication skills; basic computer literacy, Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.)
