Responsibilities
Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines
Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, supervisory discretion, and independent decision-making in patient care
Monitor patient status, document care and outcomes, and respond to changes in condition in the ICU
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to develop and implement care plans
Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality of care in a high-acuity environment
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Ability to work in an ICU setting and manage acute patient needs
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and travel for a temporary assignment
