Key Highlights
- Weekly pay range: 2,617–2,676 USD per week
- Travel assignment lasting several weeks
- 8-hour shifts on a rotating 5x8 schedule
- Inpatient hospital setting with ED, Family Birthplace, Surgical Services, 14 med-surg units, and a 20-bed ICU
- 80-hour orientation; EPIC charting experience required
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site house supervisor, providing in-house nursing leadership across inpatient areas, ED, perioperative services, and women’s services
- Monitor daily census (approximately 311+ beds) and coordinate staffing and patient flow; participate in rapid response and Code Team activities with ICU charge providers
- Oversee interdisciplinary care delivery and support staff across units (including PT, RT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, RRT, Unit Secretary)
- Manage crisis intervention, de-escalation, safety, infection control, isolation procedures, and bed management
- Coach, orient, and develop nursing staff; ensure adherence to productivity and staffing standards; support incident reporting and risk management
- Ensure high-quality, safe patient care for diverse populations (infants, adults, and geriatrics)
Requirements
- Active NY RN license in-hand at submission
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; previous charge/leadership experience required
- Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- EPIC charting experience required
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (eligible candidates outside this radius)
- Able to work across multiple inpatient units with 24/7 coverage
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS
