Travel, temporary Registered Nurse – House Supervisor opportunity in a skilled nursing setting located in Newark, NY. Assignment begins 08/25/2026 and provides 36 hours per week.

Schedule

  • Rotating shifts: 11:00pm–7:00am (8h), 3:00pm–11:00pm (8h), and 7:00pm–7:00am (12h)
  • No guaranteed hours

Pay

Weekly pay ranges from $2,280 to $2,311.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as RN supervisor across multiple units, coordinating nursing care and assignments to ensure quality patient outcomes and adherence to standards
  • Lead and mentor nursing staff, provide coaching, and support performance improvement initiatives; manage staffing to meet patient needs within productivity guidelines
  • Oversee care for geriatric patients, including those with dementia, Alzheimer’s with behaviors, DM, CVA, and post-acute/rehab needs; implement de-escalation strategies for assaultive or agitated behaviors
  • Ensure accurate EPIC charting and documentation, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in incident/sentinel event reporting and regulatory readiness
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, radiology, phlebotomy, social services, pharmacy, unit secretaries) to coordinate admissions, discharges, and complex care plans; manage infection control and isolation procedures
  • Prepare for emergencies, lead code management, and support staffing and patient safety during night and weekend operations

Requirements

  • Current NY RN license in hand
  • BLS certification
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience with charge/supervisory responsibilities
  • Experience with geriatric and behavioral populations; ability to manage assaultive/behavioral patients
  • Ability to work in a multi-unit skilled nursing setting and participate in rotating shifts
  • Travel eligibility: candidates must be located more than 75 miles from the assignment location (local candidates not accepted)
