Travel assignment in Bozeman, Montana. Start date 08/24/2026 for a 13-week assignment.
Pay
Weekly pay is $2,628 to $2,687 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week.
Schedule
3×12-hour rotating shifts.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and supervise hospital-wide patient care delivery; act as liaison among staff, patients and families, providers, and, when appropriate, law enforcement; oversee safety and quality of care
- Manage patient flow, including admission, discharge, and transfer processes; guide physician understanding of admission criteria and utilization considerations
- Round on nursing units to monitor activities, ensure adequate staffing, and align unit staffing with patient needs and productivity goals
- Facilitate emergency surgery coordination with operating rooms and procedural areas; initiate and facilitate organ donation protocols when applicable
- Act as incident commander in times of disaster or mass casualty events; activate medical staff command when indicated and exercise staff disciplinary action as needed
- Uphold policies and procedures, promote teamwork, mentor staff, and model the cultural and behavioral standards of the employing facility
Requirements
- Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; BSN required or equivalent combination of education and experience
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Five (5) years of acute care nursing experience with varied clinical exposure
- Minimum two (2) hours of verifiable trauma-related education annually; minimum six (6) hours of stroke training annually (NIHSS counts for three hours)
- Preferred: previous supervisory/management experience; critical care or emergency department experience; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Ability to work in a hospital setting as a traveling RN; travelers must reside at least 90 miles away from the assignment facility
- Willingness to work a rotating night schedule as outlined
