Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Key Highlights

• Weekly pay: $2,094 to $2,257 per week

• Setting: Travel assignment in a hospital ED with unit specifics noted

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional ED nursing care to patients across the lifespan, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform accurate initial triage, rapid assessment, continuous monitoring, and stabilization of patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial injury, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Administer medications, IV therapies, analgesia, and fluid resuscitation; operate specialty equipment as needed (e.g., Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun)
• Document thoroughly in the EPIC EMR, communicate changes to the care team, and assist with discharge planning and patient throughput
• Collaborate with charge nurses and multidisciplinary teams; respond to rapidly evolving clinical scenarios; participate in float coverage within the ED as required
• Maintain compliance with certification requirements and department protocols; support system-wide patient safety and infection control practices

Requirements

• Active NY RN license with Nursys verification; ability to provide verification of all RN licenses
• 2+ years of emergency department experience; pediatric experience preferred; travel experience required
• Certifications: current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS; NIHSS; TNCC (TNCC must be in hand)
• EMR experience required: EPIC
• Licensure and documentation: driver’s license with address that matches demographics; RTO included at submission
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment and float as needed
