Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

A registered nurse is needed for a 13-week contract in the Emergency Department (ED) at Waimea, Hawaii. The contract starts on August 10, 2026, with a weekly pay range of $2,437 to $2,581 and 80 hours in a two-week period. Shifts are variable, potentially including 12-hour shifts, and a Monday 7:00 a.m. start is required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ED, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation of acute conditions
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with urgent procedures as needed
- Cookice care with multidisciplinary teams, document in the medical record, and communicate patient status to oncoming staff
- Stabilize and prepare patients for transfer or discharge; participate in handoffs and care planning
- Float to Long-Term Care or ICU departments as needed to support unit operations
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience
- Availability for variable shifts and a Monday start window; 80 hours in a two-week period
- Willingness to float to Long-Term Care or ICU departments as needed
- Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency environment
- Must meet target start date and complete required compliance steps
- Coordination via the Medefis portal for arrival details
