Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview

A registered nurse position is available in the emergency department (ER) in Hanford, California. This is a travel assignment starting August 10, 2026, lasting 13 weeks. The weekly pay range is $2,019 to $2,106, with guaranteed hours of 0. The shift is 3 twelve-hour days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and coordinated nursing care for patients in the ER according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Assess patients, monitor their status, administer medications and treatments within scope, and respond promptly to condition changes.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans; reassess and document patient progress.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks appropriately.
• Carefully coordinate care with physicians and other disciplines; communicate clearly to ensure patient safety and smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure continuity of care across shifts.

Requirements

• Active California RN license.
• Emergency department nursing experience or demonstrated exposure; travel experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, high-acuity ER setting.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills; ability to supervise and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to travel for temporary assignments.
