Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

About the role

This role delivers coordinated nursing care in an acute care emergency department, supervising nursing staff and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to treat trauma and emergency patients of all ages.

Start date: 08/03/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. Weekly pay: $1,938 to $2,072.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care for ED patients according to the nursing process and established standards of care
• Perform triage, initial assessment, monitoring, interventions, and ongoing evaluation for trauma and emergency patients
• Administer medications and therapies; monitor for adverse reactions; document care in the electronic health record
• Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at multiple levels; coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other disciplines
• Collaborate with the trauma team as applicable; participate in handoffs, transport, and discharge planning; uphold patient safety and infection control practices

Requirements

• Current, active California RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience: ER or acute care nursing experience preferred; strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to work nights in a fast-paced emergency department and to coordinate with a multidisciplinary team
