Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ER, including triage, initial assessment, stabilization, medication administration, IV therapy and ongoing monitoring
• Manage patients requiring rapid intervention, trauma activation, cardiovascular monitoring and behavioral health needs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case management and ancillary staff to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Document care, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control and privacy standards; participate in handoffs and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Active Hawaii RN license; Hawaii licensure required by start date
• Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete the employee health appointment
• Ability to work Nights (3x12-hour shifts) and participate in orientation during the first week
• Willingness to follow department protocols and timelines for patient turnover in a fast-paced ER setting
