About the role

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in clinic care within a healthcare organization in Seattle, WA. The role involves providing outpatient cardiology services, including patient assessment, triage, and education. The selected candidate will support patients preparing for or recovering from cardiac procedures, ensuring clinical quality and safety.

The patient population consists of cardiology patients requiring detailed assessment of symptoms, medication management, and post-procedure care. Candidates must be capable of managing complex cases and escalating urgent issues like chest pain, shortness of breath, or signs of vascular access complications. The role involves patient education on lifestyle and medication adherence, telephone triage duties, and adherence to universal precautions.

Location: 550 17th Ave Ste 680, Seattle, WA 98122.

Schedule

  • Shift: 8 hours, days
  • Minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Start date: 09/07/2026
  • End date: 04/16/2027 (32 weeks duration)
  • No weekend coverage or on-call required
  • Not required to float between units

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient cardiology services, including patient assessment and triage
  • Support patients preparing for or recovering from cardiac procedures
  • Manage complex cardiology cases and escalate urgent issues (e.g., chest pain, shortness of breath, vascular access complications)
  • Educate patients on lifestyle changes and medication adherence
  • Perform telephone triage duties
  • Adhere to universal precautions and ensure clinical quality and safety

Requirements

  • Valid Washington State RN license or Compact license
  • At least 1 year of experience working as an RN in outpatient cardiology clinic and triage settings
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting system
  • Current BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in outpatient cardiac clinics
  • Familiarity with cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterization, PCI/stent placement, and electrophysiology
