Overview
Registered Nurse – CCU in Templeton, California. Start date: 08/17/2026. Duration: 8 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,068–$2,165 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36. Shift: 3x12-hour days.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to critically ill adults in the CCU, including assessment of hemodynamic status and response to clinical changes
- Maintain vigilance over invasive lines, arterial/venous pressures, ventilator settings, and other life-sustaining equipment; implement orders as directed
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; manage IVs and complex pharmacology in a high-acuity environment
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the broader care team; document care activities and outcomes in EPIC
- Lead ongoing care planning, including escalation of issues, pain management, infection prevention, and discharge planning
- Provide patient and family education, support safety initiatives, and maintain strict adherence to infection control and quality standards
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of assignment (California)
- BLS certification
- Minimum two years of recent CCU experience
- Epic EMR experience required (EPIC backfill experience)
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (07:00–19:00) in a CCU environment
- Basic critical care competencies and the ability to function effectively in a high-acuity setting
