Radiology Tech - Diagnostic Radiologic Tech in Templeton, California.

Responsibilities

Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians.

Position and instruct patients prior to examination; ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging.

Adjust x-ray equipment and determine proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph.

Maintain image quality, identify and address artifacts, and document imaging procedures according to policy.

Follow radiation safety protocols, verify patient identification, and maintain proper shielding and infection control practices.

Prepare radiographs for interpretation by physicians and assist with basic equipment maintenance as needed.

Requirements

  • Active radiologic technologist license as required by the state.
  • Certification in diagnostic radiography or as required by the employer.
  • Ability to operate x-ray equipment and produce diagnostic-quality images.
  • Capacity to work a varied shift schedule and participate in a travel assignment.
  • Strong patient communication skills and adherence to safety and procedural standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a clinical setting and follow facility policies.
