Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce quality diagnostic images, including CT and conventional radiography
• Perform routine and emergency diagnostic procedures (e.g., surgery imaging, general radiography, portable radiography) according to established standards
• Maintain patient safety and radiation safety practices; ensure proper shielding and imaging protocols
• Position patients and equipment, select appropriate imaging techniques, and evaluate image quality for radiologist interpretation
• Complete accurate documentation and assist with related clerical and patient care duties as needed
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other health care staff to support efficient patient care

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology
• Certifications: ARRT certified in CT; BLS through American Heart Association
• Licensure/Registration: Registered with the State Bureau of Radiologic Health in the State of Iowa
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Radiologic Technologist
• Skills: Strong patient care and customer service; ability to work in a hospital radiology department; excellent teamwork and communication
