Responsibilities
Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians
Possess knowledge of and ability to position patients for imaging
Ensure image quality while adhering to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
Maintain equipment and perform basic quality control checks as needed
Document procedures and patient information accurately and confidentially
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist license to practice in California (or eligible)
- ARRT Radiography certification (or eligible) with ongoing continuing education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent education
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a hospital setting; willing to travel for a six-week assignment
- Strong patient care skills and commitment to radiation safety
