American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient position at a community hospital. This role is open to first-time travelers with at least 1 year of experience preferred.

About the role

This is a 13-week travel assignment for an Outpatient Physical Therapist in Mt Vernon, Ohio. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with flexible hours ranging from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. You will manage a full caseload covering a variety of diagnoses and may be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient physical therapy services within a community hospital setting
  • Manage a full caseload with diverse patient diagnoses
  • Float to other departments or nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
  • Complete non-billable orientation modules (approximately 4 hours) prior to or during orientation; additional billable modules may apply during the assignment

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience preferred
  • Valid state PT license (if applicable)
  • Two professional references required
  • Copy of driver’s license and Social Security card required for consideration
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Schedule

  • Start Date: August 17, 2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 8-hour days, 5 days per week (40 hours total)
  • Flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local and are subject to a local pay rate.
