About the role
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Night shift. The organization is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care within the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role involves implementing individualized care plans, supervising ancillary staff, and ensuring patient safety and comfort through effective assessment, documentation, and discharge planning.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed.
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.
- Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission.
- Contribute to team conferences and participate in the patient rehabilitation program on an assigned unit.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
- Ensure effective communication across care teams and maintain safety standards in accordance with hospital policies.
- Provide calm direction, supervise staff, and contribute positively to team dynamics.
Requirements
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience.
- Valid nursing license and graduation from an approved nursing program.
- Relevant licensure and experience must be active and current.
Schedule
- Night shift, 12 hours per shift.
- Minimum of 36 hours per week.
