Job Summary
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position in Anderson, Indiana requires a travel nurse to provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and assessment.
Job Details
- Location: Anderson, IN
- Schedule: Night shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience in a medical-surgical, telemetry, or progressive care setting
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with telemetry monitoring
- IV medication administration
- Patient education
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
Additional Information
The RN will provide comprehensive assessments, monitor cardiac rhythms, manage IV infusions and devices such as telemetry monitors, central lines, and oxygen therapy equipment. Collaboration with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines is essential to optimize patient outcomes. Candidates should be capable of recognizing early signs of patient deterioration and responding promptly.
