Responsibilities
- Provide PTA services under PT supervision to residents in a LTAC/SNF setting
- Aid with therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, ROM, strength training, gait training, and balance activities
- Support transfers, ADLs, and wheelchair management as appropriate
- Monitor patient responses, progress, and safety; document sessions in the medical record per policy
- Collaborate with PT, nursing, and therapy colleagues to refine plans of care; participate in care conferences as needed
- Maintain equipment, prepare modalities as directed, and uphold infection control and safety standards
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maine or eligibility
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
- Prior LTAC or skilled nursing facility experience preferred
- Ability to work in a long-term acute care setting and in a team-based environment
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient-centered care skills
- Ability to work the listed shift and meet required health and safety standards
