Responsibilities

• Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapies, therapeutic massage, traction, heat, cold, electrical modalities, and other specified modalities as directed.
• Document patient status daily, weekly, or monthly and submit clinical paperwork on time each week.
• Attend educational meetings and contribute to department in-services.
• Notify the Physical Therapist, Clinical Manager, or Clinical Director of equipment issues, supply shortages, staff or client changes, and other departmental updates.
• Schedule clients and perform varied office tasks; maintain infection control and universal precautions.
• Accept clinical assignments appropriate to education and competence; support compliance with third-party payors as needed.
• Maintain professional boundaries and collaborate with the care team to meet patient needs and psychosocial goals.

Requirements

• Active state license to practice Physical Therapy (Tennessee)
• Current CPR certification
• Current driver’s license
• Reliable transportation and proof of insurance
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
