This is a 13-week contract position for an Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant in Covington, Georgia. The role operates under the guidance of a Physical Therapist to implement treatment goals and support various therapeutic interventions, emphasizing patient and employee safety while adhering to the organization's core values.

Schedule

• 5x8.0 schedule – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• 12-hour shifts, flexible
• 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment goals and programs
• Carry out therapeutic interventions, including posture training, strengthening exercises, and pain relief activities
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics and assistive devices
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and intervene as necessary
• Document patient progress and response to treatment
• Maintain a clean treatment area and adhere to safety and infection control guidelines
• Participate in team conferences and special projects to enhance patient care quality

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
• CAPTE Certified and active license for the state where work will be performed
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience
• Current CPR certification
• Outpatient orthopedic experience is highly desired
