Responsibilities
- Work with patients recovering from injuries or illness to improve mobility, function, and activity levels.
- Assist a licensed Physical Therapist in delivering treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program (CAPTE‑accredited PTA program).
- Active state license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification may be required (AHA or ARC).
- Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).
