Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Care Burn Unit - $2,367 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week acute care hospital contract in a Burn Unit, requiring Epic experience and a 4x10 day shift schedule including every weekend.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation and treatment of burn patients focusing on mobility, positioning, and prevention of contractures and scarring
• Working with a patient population consisting of burn patients with 0–100% TBSA burns
• Assisting with outpatient PT evaluations and therapy if time allows
• Floating within the inpatient setting is required
• Using Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Burn unit or acute care experience strongly implied by unit demands
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Active Louisiana (LA) PT license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration

Qualifications

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be documented and explained
• Candidates must provide a copy of their Driver's License

Pay

Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

40 hours per week, 4x10 hours, days (8:00–18:30), working Saturday and Sunday each week plus 2 additional shifts Monday–Friday.
