Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Care Burn Unit - $2,127 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment at an acute care hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. The position involves working every weekend in the burn unit plus one weekday shift per week.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation and treatment of burn patients
• Focusing on mobility, positioning, and contracture and scar prevention
• Assisting outpatient PT with evaluations and therapy as census allows

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Burn unit or inpatient acute care experience preferred
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Active Louisiana PT license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Driver’s license copy required for consideration
• Supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration
• Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained

Qualifications

• Reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Up to 5 days of RTO permitted for this assignment
• Candidates must be former permanent employees of any LCMC facility and have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
