About the role

Respiratory Therapist Registered, Pediatric Respiratory Therapy. The Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive respiratory care, patient transport, treatment evaluation, and patient education within the scope of professional licensure. The role operates and monitors ventilatory equipment, performs respiratory procedures, supports emergency care, and communicates patient status and treatment responses to the care team.

Schedule

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Current respiratory therapy professional license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Ability to provide respiratory treatments
• Operate invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment
• Perform airway and tracheostomy care
• Conduct arterial punctures
• Monitor oximetry and capnography
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Document and communicate patient care accurately

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans
• Administer prescribed medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation
• Perform suctioning, chest physiotherapy, pulmonary function studies, electrocardiograms, arterial blood gas procedures, chest drainage, endotracheal and tracheostomy procedures
• Assist with bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, and chest tube placement
• Maintain and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment
• Support equipment maintenance
• Review relevant diagnostic imaging
• Document treatment and patient responses
• Participate in shift-to-shift clinical communication

Pay

Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
