About the Role

Provide specialized care for patients transitioning from intensive care to general units. Responsibilities include monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering medications, assisting with cardiac procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry data and respond to cardiac emergencies
• Administer medications and assist with cardiac procedures
• Document patient assessments and maintain accurate records
• Educate patients and families on cardiac health and post-care instructions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Prepare and maintain equipment for patient care
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control standards, and confidentiality policies
• Perform duties within the scope of RN practice

Requirements

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience
• Valid RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• PCCN and NIHSS certifications (preferred)
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
• Mental resilience to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
