About the Role
Provide specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units. Maintain confidentiality, follow safety protocols, and support patient education on cardiac health.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments
- Assist with cardiac procedures
- Observe and document patient responses and conditions
- Respond to emergencies
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care
- Monitor telemetry data and prepare equipment
- Support interdisciplinary teams and ensure infection control
- Provide patient education tailored to individual needs
Requirements
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Valid RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Preferred certifications: PCCN and NIHSS
