About the Role
Provides specialized nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care, requiring close monitoring and interventions.
Responsibilities
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and monitor telemetry data and patient vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments
- Assist in cardiac procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Assess patient conditions and document care
- Initiate education on cardiac health for patients
- Respond to emergencies per protocols
- Ensure safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- At least one year of recent stepdown RN experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications
- Preferred certifications: PCCN and NIHSS
Skills & Abilities
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move and assist with equipment
- Ability to work under pressure, follow instructions, and maintain confidentiality
- Visual acuity and motor skills necessary for procedures
