Travel PCU Stepdown RN

About the Role

A Stepdown RN provides specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units, requiring continuous monitoring and complex interventions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data
• Administer medications and treatments
• Prepare equipment and assist with cardiac procedures
• Observe and document patient responses
• Respond to cardiac emergencies
• Educate patients on cardiac health
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safety protocols

Requirements

• One year of recent stepdown experience
• Valid RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Critical thinking and strong communication skills
• Physical ability to move equipment
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
