Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpreting and recording electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever monitoring equipment indicates adverse symptomatology.
• Stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods; lift up to 20 lb routinely and up to 50 lb when moving patients.
• Maintain stress‑coping skills and relate effectively to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• NIH certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (as noted in the posting).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, stoop, and lift patients as described.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
