About the role

Assignment length: 26 weeks. Shift: nights, 4 × 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30). Openings: 1. Charting system: Epic.

Responsibilities

• BiPAP/CPAP management
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown care
• Telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote)
• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• Chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac)
• CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) care
• Feeding tube care and management
• Heparin protocols
• Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Isolation precautions/PPE
• Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (with and without titration)
• Nasal cannula and oxygen administration (including tanks)
• Non-invasive airway management
• PCA (Patient-Controlled Analgesia)
• Peripheral and PICC line care/management
• Renal failure care
• Seizure disorder management
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Wound care and Wound Vac management

Requirements

• 1 year of experience
• Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS

• Facility type: Acute Care Hospital (Level 2 trauma, Magnet-designated)
• Bed count: 401
• Patient ratios: 4 patients per nurse on nights and weekends

Pay

$3,254 – $3,446 weekly (includes taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements).
