About the role
A skilled PACU RN for a travel assignment, responsible for providing specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery.
Responsibilities
- Assess post-operative patients
- Monitor vital signs
- Administer medications
- Manage patient comfort and safety
- Document recovery progress
- Collaborate with surgical teams
- Respond to emergencies
- Operate PACU equipment
- Deliver patient and family education on discharge procedures
Requirements
- Recent one-year experience as a PACU RN
- Valid RN license per state regulations
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Qualifications
Preferred additional certifications: PALS or ENPC.
Skills
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, and operate PC systems
- Physical ability to move and lift equipment (50-100 lbs)
- Effective teamwork and professionalism
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain focus, and adapt to irregular schedules
- Strong visual and communication skills
