About the role
We are seeking a skilled PACU RN for a travel assignment to provide specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing post-anesthesia patients and monitoring vital signs, consciousness, and recovery progress
- Administering medications and treatments per post-anesthesia protocols
- Ensuring patient safety, comfort, and documentation of care and incidents
- Responding to emergencies and collaborating with surgical and healthcare teams
- Developing patient and family education plans, including discharge instructions
- Operating PACU equipment and participating in patient handoffs
Qualifications and Skills Required
- At least one year of recent PACU RN experience
- Valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move equipment and patients, and adapt to varied activity levels
- Proficiency in English, technical skills, and attention to detail
