About the role
We are seeking a skilled PACU RN for a travel assignment in Tucson, Arizona.
Responsibilities
- Assessing patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery
- Monitoring vital signs, consciousness, and recovery progress
- Administering medications and treatments per post-anesthesia protocols
- Ensuring patient safety, comfort, and responding to emergencies
- Documenting patient conditions and interventions accurately
- Providing patient and family education, including discharge instructions
- Collaborating with surgical and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
- Operating PACU equipment such as ventilators and monitors
- Participating in handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications and skills
- One year of recent PACU RN experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS, ACLS certifications
- Preferred PALS or ENPC certifications
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform nursing duties, including moving equipment
- Ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail and effective teamwork
