Role And Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery, evaluating vital signs and recovery status.
• Administer medications and treatments per post-anesthesia protocols.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and effective communication during recovery.
• Document patient conditions, interventions, and responses accurately.
• Respond promptly to emergencies following established standards.
• Develop and implement patient and family education, including discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with surgical and healthcare teams to coordinate care.
• Operate PACU equipment such as ventilators and monitors.
• Participate in handoff communications for seamless patient transfer.

Qualifications And Skills

• One year of recent PACU RN experience.
• Valid RN license and current BLS, ACLS certifications.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and using PC tools.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle irregular activity, and maintain attention to detail.
