Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality PACU nursing care to post-anesthesia patients on-site in AZ.
  • Monitor patient vitals and recovery status, document progress accurately.
  • Strictly follow infection control and safety protocols in PACU.
  • Escalate and manage post-anesthesia complications with clinical judgment.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate safe perioperative transitions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for billing, QA, and regulatory audits.
  • Educate patients and families about recovery milestones and discharge plans.
  • Utilize performance metrics and pipelines to track efficiency and outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and credential maintenance.
  • Demonstrate accountability for individual results while contributing to team targets.
  • Assist in preoperative assessments when needed and ensure readiness of PACU.

Requirements

  • Current RN license with valid AZ ACLS and PACU certification.
  • PACU nursing experience in perioperative or post-anesthesia care.
  • Strong infection control adherence and safety protocol compliance.
  • Proficiency in monitoring vitals, recovery status, and documenting progress.
  • Ability to escalate complications with sound clinical judgment.
  • Accurate documentation for billing, QA, and regulatory audits.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and credential maintenance.
