The therapist develops an appropriate plan of care in compliance with all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based practice, the Occupational Therapist provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions. Responsibilities Administer various treatment procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, and the use of assistive devices. Assess patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary, ensuring documentation complies with regulatory requirements. Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and adjust services as needed. Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders. Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members about patient progress and treatment plans. Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system. Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and required trainings. Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants and rehabilitation aides as necessary. Adhere to NBCOT and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 1+ years of Occupational Therapy experience (Required) Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings (Required) Active Occupational Therapy license (Required) New graduates considered if they have Level II experience Schedule This position requires an 8-hour day shift, specifically 8-hour days.
