Travel Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Rehab Acute Rehab - $2,202 per week

Ardor Health Solutions is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an inpatient acute care assignment in Hilo, Hawaii on the Big Island.

About the role

This 13-week travel assignment offers a full-time schedule in a hospital-based rehabilitation setting. You’ll work with a diverse adult and geriatric patient population, helping patients regain function and independence following surgery, illness, injury, and other medically complex conditions. The role focuses on activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional independence within a collaborative interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Complete OT evaluations and reassessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Address ADLs, functional mobility, strength, endurance, cognition, coordination, and safety
• Provide therapeutic activities and functional training
• Educate patients and caregivers
• Recommend adaptive equipment and strategies
• Assist with discharge planning and recommendations
• Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing, physicians, case management, and other hospital team members
• Complete timely clinical documentation

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current Hawaii OT license or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current BLS certification
• Strong evaluation and clinical decision-making skills
• Comfortable treating medically complex patients
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Previous inpatient acute or hospital experience preferred
