Travel Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Rehab Acute Rehab - $2,203 per week
About the role
Travel Occupational Therapist position in Hilo, Hawaii. The role involves evaluating and re-evaluating assigned patients (outpatient or inpatient) and planning and implementing an ongoing therapeutic occupational therapy program as prescribed by the ordering physician. The position requires coverage in Rehab and Acute Rehab, independent caseload management, and performing re-evaluations based on insurance authorization. A Hawaii license is required. Occasional work on Hawaii State and Federal holidays may be necessary based on hospital operations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients
- Plan and implement an ongoing therapeutic occupational therapy program
- Update treatment plans and provide home exercise programs
- Independently manage a full caseload
- Perform re-evaluations based on insurance authorization
- Coverage in Rehab and Acute Rehab settings
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' work experience in outpatient and acute settings with adults
- Active Hawaii occupational therapy license or application upon acceptance of offer
- BLS certification from American Red Cross
Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour day shifts: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Contract length: 26 weeks
- Start date: 09/28/2026
Pay
Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
