Travel Occupational Therapist - Inpatient - $2,895 per week

Cross Country Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, starting 11/09/2026. This is a full‑time travel position (40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts) in an acute inpatient setting. The occupational therapist provides individualized evaluations and treatment interventions for patients with orthopedic, neurological, general medical, and medically complex conditions, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, adjusting treatment plans, managing a dynamic caseload, and supporting discharge planning. Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and develop treatment interventions
• Conduct ongoing assessment and documentation
• Participate in team conferences and provide discharge recommendations
• Select and apply appropriate treatment modalities
• Manage medically complex and potentially unstable patients
• Recognize normal and abnormal vital signs; monitor patients during treatment
• Identify therapy indications and contraindications
• Prioritize a high‑volume caseload and adapt to changing schedules and clinical needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient safety, comfort, discharge planning, resource utilization, and handoff communication
• Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants, aides, and students as needed

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience

Schedule

Day shift, generally Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (40 hours per week). One weekend per month is required; no call is required.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
