This role involves providing occupational therapy services within an inpatient/acute care setting at a medical center with a focus on supporting patient recovery and rehabilitation. The position requires collaboration with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care tailored to the needs of diverse patient populations. Job Details Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Graduate from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy program, current Hawaii State license as an Occupational Therapist, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Healthcare Provider (HCP) certification. A minimum of two (2) years of full-time staff experience as an Occupational Therapist in an inpatient/acute care setting (not including travel assignments) is required. Experience in a comparable size or type medical center (500+ beds, Level 1 Trauma Center) is highly preferred. Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week. Additional Information: Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the contract start date. Failure to meet this deadline will result in a delayed or canceled start. A current NURSYS report must be submitted with all applications. If the Occupational Therapist is not needed on their assigned unit or similar unit as an RN, they may be assigned to fill roles such as a nursing assistant or a safety sitter. Submission requirements: All compliance documents must be received at least 10 days before the start date to ensure the assignment proceeds as scheduled.
