Travel Occupational Therapist - Inpatient - $2,827 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an inpatient acute care position in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The assignment begins December 7, 2026 and lasts 13 weeks, requiring 40 hours per week on day shifts (5 × 8‑hour shifts). The role is based in a Level 2 trauma center acute‑care setting serving both adult and pediatric populations, including ICUs, stroke, trauma, neuro, orthopedics, general med‑surg, oncology, and same‑day discharge joint programs. The department treats approximately 120‑150 patients per day, with therapists averaging 9 evaluations and 16 treatments daily. The facility uses Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic) and the therapist will work alongside one rehab aide and one COTA.

Responsibilities

• Perform ADL evaluations and document findings to justify the next level of care.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team that includes rehab aides and COTAs.
• Clock in and out at the facility as required.
• Maintain a professional appearance adhering to the dress code (solid‑color scrubs, clean and neat).
• Complete department‑specific orientation and facility credentialing processes.
• Provide occupational therapy services across adult and pediatric acute inpatient rehab, pediatric inpatient rehab, and stroke specialty programs.

Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapist license (state‑specific) as applicable.
• Minimum one year of recent OT experience (preferably in a Level 2 trauma center).
• BLS (AHA) certification.
