Travel Occupational Therapist Inpatient - $2,755 per week

About the role

Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) position in an acute care hospital setting in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The therapist will provide specialized occupational therapy treatments to a diverse patient population, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient‑centered care, including evaluations, interventions, and discharge planning.

Start date: October 19, 2026; Assignment duration: 13 weeks; Employment type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations
• Provide treatment interventions
• Participate in team conferences
• Complete documentation
• Utilize therapeutic modalities as appropriate
• Supervise certified occupational therapist assistants, aides, and students when required
• Manage a high‑volume caseload with advanced critical thinking
• Evaluate and treat medically complex and unstable patients
• Demonstrate flexibility and organization in a fast‑paced environment

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification
• Valid state occupational therapy license
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
• Proficiency with computerized charting systems (e.g., EPIC)
• Knowledge of vital signs and medical equipment
• Ability to orient to department‑specific systems (1‑2 day orientation)

Schedule

Primary shift Monday through Friday, generally 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours per week). Requires one weekend per month.
